Clorece (Rece) Lorene Tabor, of Mt. Ida passed away March 30, 2016 at the age of 77 in Hot Springs AR. She was born December 1, 1938 to Martin and Martha Chloe Short in Mt. Ida, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents.

Rece was a loving and devoted wife and mother. December 3, 1954, Rece married the love of her life, Alger Tabor. She worked alongside Al for over 15 years in their body shop business in Glenwood Arkansas. Then followed him to Lindel Trimble in Hot Springs for 6 more years.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years Alger Tabor, three children and spouses Debbie and Ricky Lee of Mt. Ida AR, Timmy and Pam Tabor of Mena AR, Bo Tabor of Mt. Ida AR. Three grandchildren Tonya Alford, Alan McArthur, Brandon Tabor. Three Great Grandchildren Emily Alford, Bethany Alford, and Kenady McArthur. Brother Marvin (PeeWee) and Lucille Short of Story Ar. Sister Sue Lenderman of Texarkana, AR. and numerous nieces, nephews, and their spouses.

Visitation at Thornton Funeral Home Friday, April 1, 2016 from 6 to 8 pm. Service April 2, 2016 at 10:00 am at The Church of God in Mt. Ida with Rev. Brian McKinnen Officiating. Burial at Owley Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Alan McArthur, James Alford, Chris Barnes, Ken Warneke, Jimmy Abernathy and Joey Fryar.

Family will be at Harbor House at Mountain Harbor.

In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Mt. Ida Southfork and Joplin Volunteer Fire Departments.
